Overview
The Department of Geography at Dr. Nobin Bordoloi College has been shaping students since 1986, offering Bachelor of Arts — Four Year Under Graduate Programme (FYUGP) under Dibrugarh University. The department is currently led by Mrs. Songita Hazarika, Assistant Professor, MA, MPhil.
The department’s logo places a globe — the focus of geographical study — gently held by two hands, signifying protection and the nurturing role of education. A graduation cap above represents academic excellence, and the circular design reflects unity and continuity of knowledge, carrying the inscription “Geography is the Destiny.”

Purpose
To give practical knowledge of the environment, engage students in field trips, and inculcate a student-teacher friendly atmosphere that makes geographical knowledge meaningful.
